Berlin, July 5th 2026 – Reference Studio’s 6th “INTERVENTION” culminated on the last day of Berlin Fashion Week with a full day of presentations. Curated by Reference Studios founder Mumi Haiati, the shows took place in the historical Kronprinzenpalais (Crown Prince’s Palace); on Berlin’s iconic Unter den Linden Boulevard. Against the backdrop of this former Prussian royal residence, with its neoclassical design, international guests, fashion press and VIPs waited for the highly anticipated GmbH show to start.

Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, GmbH founders Benjamin Huseby and Serhat Işık revisited their archives and, more significantly, the widely untold fashion story of the forgotten couture houses that were a hallmark of 1920’s Berlin. Set in the terraced central gardens of the Palais, with a live classical music ensemble ushering guests to their seats, the stage was set for a journey into Berlin’s fashion past. Working with Julia Schwarz’s (Berliner Chic) extensive archive of historical designers, Huseby and Işık were able to celebrate Berlin’s erased fashion history; translating it into their present-day aesthetic.

A prominent feature in the show was the striking Y2K eyewear pieces adorning several of the model’s looks on the runway. This surprise cameo was thanks to our collaboration with Huseby & Işık and also marks our 30th anniversary this year. With both brands deeply rooted in the cultural fabric that defines the city of Berlin, Huseby & Işık said it seemed a natural fit to join forces and come together in a celebration of Berlin craftsmanship
